Marcasa

This year I was given the opportunity to work with Jeremiah, Catherine and the whole Marcasa clan.  These guys are such a great group.  I love how Jeremiah and Catherine put so much detail into everything in the store.  I've learned they have a counter made from sheet metal; previously used to cook Keebler Elf cookies, a cabinet that was used in movie productions and a park-ranger-truck green wall in back (being tested for a public wall).  I've also seen the same attention paid to detail with their clients (whom, from what I can tell, often become friends).  Their store always seems to have a fresh look with items that are chosen, not just for Billings clients, but to pull Billings fashion-forward.  Be sure to check out their site and the rest of our shoot here
Also monster-sized thank you to my friend, Sammy Oxendahl, for assisting and then some:).

Miss me?

So, yeah, it's been a while. It's interesting the different roads photography takes you.  This year I've photographed travels, weddings, bikers, families, homeless men, friends, musicians, food, animals, clothing and cloud shapes.  I want to photograph everything.  I want to understand the relationship between still and movement and become a fluent translator.  Some days it's maddening to move so slow, other days it's maddening that you feel everything is coming at you in a single day.  My boarders are are buried and I have to trample them many times before I find them.  As I manage what is, I'm reformatting and looking forward to starting again.

Belfry local

This was from a little road trip with friends last year; Sammy Oxendahl and Ronnie Ruiz.  While taking these images, Ronnie and I were using the same camera and I honestly don't remember which of us took this.  ...Now I'm forming exit strategies in my head for another day-trip this fall... :)

Jon and Kira

Now that was an adventure:)  The little foal kept teasing us and running near by.  Every time I see that stud horse, I can't help thinking of Disney's 'Spirit'.  All in all, it was nothing short of magical, Thanks Jon and Kira for your own personal rendition of 'happily ever after'!  A special thanks to Willow Greenough at Aegis Equestrian, you made our day!

Rob and Candice

In a season of questionable Montana weather, we couldn't have had a more beautiful day.  Onyx entertained us with her little water adventure.  Rob and Candice; thanks for the day, I look forward to seeing you both very soon!
