life and light

Sometimes when I shoot, I can just feel it; those moments that reflect a passage in time we would love to savor.  Evening light is one of those moments- where life softens its self against the backdrop of your world.  The harshness of the day fades and peace settles in.

Maxine

There's nothing better than the long summer days of your childhood.  They were carefree and full of imaginative adventure.  Neighborhoods seem to come alive with children moving from one back yard to the next.  I remember exploring the hills near my home, with my older brothers, looking for snakes and picking wildflowers for my mom.
I loved photographing Maxine.  It felt like I was looking through the glass window of her imaginative world...

morning visit

We found this moth on our screen door this morning, he was wet and shaking in the rain.  He lost interest in his little photo-shoot as soon as his wings dried, and will be released as soon as the rain
lets up.
